He has also be praised by many of his colleagues for his innovations in the field. He is now enjoying his retirement by playing a lot of golf and giving the occasional lecture at medical schools around the world. He enjoys being a mentor for many young surgeons who are just beginning their careers.

Palestine is where Dr. Saad was raised. There were many important things happening in that part of the world during his youth. Many people who were from Palestine were forced to leave because the State of Israel was formed. Dr. Saad and his mother were told to get on a bus and they did not know where it was going to take them. They were eventually taken to the West Bank. They were never allowed to return home.

The way that Dr. Saad found his calling to become a surgeon is quite interesting. He visited a construction site when he was a teenager. This site was in the country of Kuwait. It can get very hot in this region. He passed out and regained consciousness a while later. He deduced that it was heat stroke that caused him to pass out. He knew at this time that working outdoors like his father was not going to be possible. His body simply could not handle it. Believe it or not, the reason he chose a career in pediatric surgery is because an operating room was one of the very few places that had air conditioning at any time of the day or night.

One of the reasons that Dr. Saad became so successful is that he was always very good at using his time wisely. He also had a thirst for knowledge that led him to move to the United States. He had a goal of becoming a pediatric surgeon who was U.S. Board Certified. This was very uncommon at the time he was trying to achieve this goal. He eventually received that certification. He knew how to speak both Arabic and English. This allowed him to become the Saudi royal family’s pediatric surgeon. Learn more: https://www.doximity.com/pub/saad-saad-md

One of his biggest innovations was the development of a technique that eliminated the need for creating a second cut on the bodies of his patients during surgery. This greatly reduced the level of pain they felt during the weeks and months after the procedure had been performed.
